Plastics
Styrene
Styrene is resilient, lightweight and can be used for interior signs and short-term exterior signs.

Foam PVC
SINTRA is a brand name for one type of expanded foam sheets. It is used mainly indoors for wall signs and boarders or smaller hanging signs and aisle markers.  It has a semi-hard washable finish, and is stiff but flexible sheets. It is colorful and accepts vinyl lettering well. Can be used outdoors for short term signage, it is water resistant but the color will fade if left outside. It makes a good color boarder around stores also, rather than painting on rough surfaces.  You will see this material type used indoors by national chains, like Sam's Club, for decorations and signage.

Corrugated PVC
Corrugated PVC sheets are very light weight and weather resistant. It is made with the same design as corrugated cardboard but it is made of PVC Plastic (the same plastic used in water pipes). You can see the parallel lines on the surface, but a few feet away it looks smooth. The 4mm thickness (shown) is the most used thickness for signs. It will last outdoors for about 1 year, colors will fade in a few months, and it is not wind resistant because of its light weight. It needs to be backed up or with a frame outdoors.  Popular outdoor uses are 18"x24" double-sided signs with wire Step-Stakes for Realtors, Contractors, Builders, and for Political signs. They also make good FOR SALE signs and large Political signs up to 4'x8' and larger using multiple sheets, with proper backing.  It will last years INDOORS for less expensive signs.  We carry different kinds of moldings that will hold sheets together for 3 or 4 sided displays or Point-Of-Purchase signs, and A-Frame signs. Grommets across the top makes great hanging or window signs.

Poly-Coated 14 Ply Card
Poly-Coated 14 Ply Card is a stiff poster board made for short term indoor or outdoor use, as for Outdoor Political, School Levy, Builders Construction signs, Temporary Directional, or any signs that are posted places where they could be stolen or vandalized. The plastic coating on the card makes it water-resistant for several months, and it is easy to screen print on for large quantities of signs with the same message. Staples are typically used to mount signs to wood stakes or walls.

Vinyl Banner Material
Vinyl Banner Material is reinforced with nylon webbing making it weather resistant, yet flexible for easy storage and shipping. It's strength allows it to be assembled to almost any length or dimension.  Available in many colors.

Aluminum
Aluminum is a very good material for outdoor signs that will be exposed to weather.  Both thicknesses shown have a BAKED color finish. The thicker .080 shown is used for bigger signs and street signs.  Almost all .080 street and warning signs are also REFLECTIVE, that shine when headlights hit them, these are the same type the cities buy from us. The thinner .040 is good for signs that are backed up with something solid, like a wall or plywood. This .040 is the same thing you will see our competitors selling for use on posts, you can recognize them, they will be bent around the posts or have sharp edges and corners, waiting for a law suit for you to pay. Aluminum signs work well INDOORS for OSHA and other signs, they are more durable than any other type against bumps and scrapes.

Wood
Medium Density Overlay (MDO) is a coated wood product that will give you years of outdoor service.

Magnetic
Magnetic Material is flexible enough conform to surface shapes and is aerodynamic on vehicles.  It is removable and perfect for signs on multi-use vehicles.  Magnetic signs are weather resistant and, with proper care, suitable for long-term exterior use.
